Saint-Gobain® offers a broad range of Skived Films from its Norgard® brand. Skived PTFE Films are manufactured from high quality virgin PTFE resins or PTFE compounds and are designed to meet applications with the highest operational requirements. Full in-house processing includes mixing, molding, sintering, skiving and slitting, as well as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, guaranteeing consistent, high product quality. Skived Modified PTFE Films provide a perfect combination of long flex life, low permeability and friction as well as good insulation properties. The films have outstanding chemical resistance and conform to common food and pharma regulations. Skived Modified PTFE Films are particularly suitable for mechanically demanding applications where minimum polymer creep (cold flow) is required. Skived Modified PTFE Films can be welded, offer very low permeability and show excellent performance in dynamic applications. To complement the product offering a bondable version is available (best-in class etching on one or both sides).
