Polymeric Film Adhesive Tapes
Our range of polymeric film adhesive tapes is specially designed for exceptional performance, offering outstanding insulation properties, superior abrasion and chemical resistance, as well as a wide operating temperature range.
These film tapes are designed for everyday use, with the ability to withstand extreme conditions. The combination of durable polymer films with various adhesive formulations ensures consistent and reliable performance across a wide range of applications, such as surface protection, identification, safety, splicing, and electrical insulation.
These film tapes are available in both single- or double-sided options, as well as unsupported constructions (as a transfer adhesive), making them adaptable to specific customer requirements.
Our wide range of polymeric film products and high-performance adhesive tapes are available with polymer substrates such as:
- PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), which is renowned for its non-stick properties. High modulus PTFE films like CHR® 2245 have superior tensile strength and minimal elongation, making them ideal for high-performance applications requiring excellent dielectric, chemical, and wear-resistant properties.
- UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene), which is renowned for extreme abrasion resistance, low friction, and non-stick properties. These tapes perform exceptionally well in automated packaging, sliders, rail covers, and bearing surfaces.
- FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene), which is renowned for offering excellent chemical resistance, low friction, and high dielectric strength. These films maintain flexibility across a wide temperature range, making them suitable for insulation and protective applications in the electronics and electrical industries.
- ETFE (Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene), which is renowned for combining excellent mechanical strength with superior chemical resistance. This film has excellent insulating properties and is commonly used in high-performance applications such as insulation and protective coatings.
- Rulon®, which is a high-performance PTFE-based material renowned for its exceptional wear resistance (500 times greater than standard PTFE). These films are ideal for applications involving rotating bearings, liners, and rail coverings, offering a low coefficient of friction and self-lubricating properties.
- Polyester, which is renowned for its toughness, dimensional stability, and resistance to abrasion and chemicals.
- Polyimide, which is renowned for its ability to provide exceptional thermal stability and electrical insulating properties. These films are ideal for high-temperature environments and are commonly used in the electronics, automotive, and aerospace industries.
