Silicone Adhesive Tapes: Norseal® for Gasketing Applications
Silicone adhesive tapes provide all the benefits of our closed-cell silicone sponge, flame-retardant silicone foams, and solid rubber in an easy-to-apply, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape form. Saint Gobain® Norseal SNS Tapes offer high and low-temperature silicone adhesive or aggressive, strong anchorage acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side. These products act as an instant gasket, saving both time and costs (reducing the need for die-cutting) with the ability to conform to irregular shapes for cushioning and gasketing. These silicone tapes are ideal for applications exposed to the elements and requiring intricate shaping, such as electronic packaging, transportation gasketing, gap filling, and outdoor lighting.
The base of these products is known to have the lowest outgassing in the industry.
Saint-Gobain is consistently expanding this product line to meet specific customer requirements for various densities and adhesive requests. For example, SNS 515GF is a newly introduced product that addresses the need for a medium density to complement the lower and higher density product lines.
SNS is a quick-fix gasketing solution for customers during the final product introduction stage to prevent rattles, vibrations, or other noise reductions at the end of the manufacturing process.
