Our compression pads support the most diverse battery configurations and can be seamlessly integrated into assembly lines. TRP pads assist with safety management by limiting heat propagation to adjacent cells.
Compression Pads
Available with silicone and micro-cellular PUR material options, compression pads provide optimum cushioning support for the dimensional change of the cell during the breathing process and for the gradual permanent swelling that occurs throughout the battery lifespan. With customised thickness and tunable Compression Force Deflection (CFD), our range of compression pads can adapt to both prismatic and pouch cells with different chemistries (cathode, anode or electrolyte). The benefit of UL94 V0 rating in our silicone pads contributes to added FR safety.
These characteristics, combined with our robust simulation capabilities, help to arrive at an optimum compression pad solution for maximising your EV range.
Additionally, compression pads can reduce the severity of vibration and shock on the battery components.

TRP Pads
During normal operation, these pads provide outstanding and reliable mechanical properties by delivering consistent force during their charge/discharge cycles, thereby maximising cell performance.
In the event of a thermal runaway, these pads provide the electrical and thermal insulation to limit the propagation to adjacent cells, thereby enhancing safety for passengers.
