PVC Gasketing Foam
PVC foam gaskets are an economical choice to protect against water, dirt and air infiltration, and to resist weathering, UV oxidation, mildew, and fungus. These closed-cell, compressible foams with pressure-sensitive adhesive outperform traditional sealing methods through easy handling, quick installation, and excellent weathering characteristics for construction, automotive, appliances, industrial, NVH, and glazing applications.
Features & Benefits
PVC foam gaskets facilitate the assembly process as they do not ooze, drip, run or sag. |
Closed-cell design and good compression properties make PVC foams a cost-effective and reliable gasketing option. |
PVC foams are highly conformable, adapt easily to irregular surfaces whilst being dimensionally stable and require minimal surface preparation, allowing for quicker installation and reduced waste |
Available in various densities, a wide range of thicknesses and widths, PVC foam gaskets can be pre-sized or die-cut to meet a broad range of application needs and are available with or without adhesives. |
High-density PVC foam offers excellent abrasion resistance, good vibration damping and cushioning, as well as high internal strength for additional toughness and optimised protection in extreme sealing applications. |
Many of our products are approved by major automotive OEM material specifications, and flame retardant options with EN recognition are also available for increased safety. |
Sustainability
Several of our PVC products in the Norseal® product family have achieved Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). This certification highlights our commitment to sustainability and transparency, providing detailed information about the environmental impact of our products throughout their lifecycle. All of our EPD-labelled products can be found on the EPD International website: https://environdec.com/.
