Norseal Extrusions K2A00 spool of black cylindrical foam

BCF

Norseal BCF (Butyl Coated Foam) are an efficient and cost-effective solution to the most demanding sealing applications. These extruded foams with self-stick butyl rubber feature excellent sealing performance and impermeability to gases; good resistance to ozone, oxidation and sunlight; flexibility and conformability to irregular contours; easy application and are lightweight compared to solid butyl tape. BCF provides the lowest thermal conductivity among organic rubbers and its excellent sealing performance of BCF has been proven in many tests: BCF showed superior performance in water sealability (TRFNA0063-2015); BCF did not leak water at 1.0 kg/cm2 under 30% compression (PCBC waterstop test); BCF withstood up to 2.0 kg/cm2 air pressure under 30% compression (TR-130408). Our BCF materials provide a dual-layer structure where closed-cell PVC foam is encapsulated with high-tack butyl rubber. Various options are available, including different sizes and densities of the foam core, different liner specifications (paper or PP film) and custom profiles. They are ideal for the use in automotive seals (Quarter glass sealing), appliance seals, commercial refrigeration, metal building and roof sealing, marine sealing and prefabricated construction.
