h-old 6601 is a Glass filaments reinforced paper coated on one side with a high quality acrylic adhesive system. Designed for oil filled transformer applications requiring a high tensile strength tape with excellent adhesion used for holding and securing paper layer insulation during coil winding. The porosity of the paper backing is beneficial for the absorption of oil which enhances the overall dielectric performance by minimizing unwanted air voids in the transformer winding.
