Brand-new materials such as Norseal® TRP627 or TRP1000 combine two critical functions for battery cell protection into a single product. Under normal operating conditions, they manage the volume expansion of cells by maintaining an optimal compression level, ensuring battery cells remain within a defined range of compression throughout the battery pack's lifespan. In the event of a thermal runaway, they help limit heat propagation to adjacent cells. These materials are highly appealing solutions for battery engineers designing high-performance battery packs.
