Reach beyond thermal runaway propagation protection
Brand-new materials like Norseal® TRP627 or TRP1000 combine two critical functions for battery cell protection into one product. In normal operating conditions, they manage the volume expansion of cells by maintaining an optimal compression level, keeping battery cells within a defined range of compression throughout the battery pack's life. In the event of a thermal runaway, they help limit heat propagation to adjacent cells. This makes them highly interesting solutions for battery engineers to design high-performance battery packs.

An eye-opener for many visitors was seeing that our materials are not only industry leading solutions in cell-to-cell and cell-to-pack applications but that our broad portfolio of compression pads, cushioning pads, thermal interface materials and sealing solutions allows to design battery packs with unique materials from one supplier.
New generations of our ThermaCool® thermally conductive silicone gap fillers offer a variety of advantages like world-class heat transfer performance and UL94 V-0 rating. Some of these materials are completely new and have been introduced at the show for the first time. In face-to-face discussions or during a launch presentation on the first day of the show at our booth, visitors had the chance to get first-hand information about how these materials can help them reach beyond current challenges.
