Tape Solutions for Security Glazing
With increased use of glass in modern buildings, the need for safe and highly resistant security glass systems for reliable protection against mechanical and environmental influences is increasing. Our security glazing tapes for residential and commercial window glazing ensure high tensile strength, pass and exceed rating for 300 hr/2 kg static shear test (AFERA 5012) and are designed to withstand weathering and oxidation over time. Double-Sided Adhesive Glazing Tape
Norseal® V980 and V990 closed-cell foam tapes with high-performance adhesive on both sides are ideal for sealing glass into framing systems. For 40+ years, Norseal Foam Tape has offered proven performance in the window glazing market, making it the preferred choice in a variety of glazing applications. Both V980 (with paper release liner) and V990 (with filmic release liner) exceed AAMA 810.1 requirements for residential and commercial glazing needs. The PVC foam core accommodates moderate joint movement for larger commercial lites and modest high-rise buildings due to thermal cycling and wind loads. The closed-cell elastomer structure ensures an effective water seal while the pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive has outstanding bond strength to glass, wood, aluminum and vinyl surfaces.
Single-Side Adhesive Glazing Tape
Norseal 2521 and 3521 are fire-retardant closed-cell foam tapes with pressure sensitive adhesive on one side. Designed for interior glazing, these tapes are also a good fit when the system requires the need for repositioning of the glass lite. 2521 is the softest option when the highest level of conformability is required, while 3521 offers higher sealing performance.
