Rulon® Adhesive Tapes

Rulon adhesive tape, commonly referred to as bearing tape, combines a low coefficient of friction with high temperature stability in a tape form. Works well when applied to chutes and guide rails where superior abrasion resistance is required. Rulon features properties of PTFE such as conformability, low surface friction, electrical insulation, chemical resistance and a broad service temperature range.

Features & Benefits

  • Superior abrasion resistance

Up to 500X increase in wear resistance in rotating bearing tests compared to standard PTFE

  • Self-lubricating

Stable, non-toxic and weather-resistant, Rulon film surface is self-lubricating, ensuring the frictional forces on a surface are consistent.

  • Chemically inert

Rulon film is not chemically reactive to the various substances that it could come into contact with when used in an application.

  • Patented solution

Rulon film is manufactured from skived, patented, filled PTFE film coated on one side with high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesive.
