Silicone Adhesive Tapes: Norseal® for Gasketing Applications
Silicone adhesive tapes provide all the benefits of our closed-cell silicone sponge, flame retardant silicone foams and solid rubber in an easy-to-apply, pressure-sensitive adhesive tape form. Saint Gobain® Norseal SNS Tapes provide high and low-temperature silicone adhesive or aggressive, strong anchorage acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side. These products serve as an instant gasket that saves both time and costs (reducing the need for die-cutting) with the ability to conform to irregular shapes for cushioning and gasketing. These silicone tapes are perfect for applications that are exposed to the elements and require intricate shaping like electronic packaging, transportation gasketing, gap filling and outdoor lighting.
The base of these products is known to have the lowest outgassing in the industry.
Saint-Gobain is consistently expanding this product line to respond to specific customer requirements for various densities and adhesive requests. As an example, SNS 515GF is a newly introduced product that meets the needs for a medium density to add to lower and higher density product lines.
SNS is a quick fix gasketing solution for customers in their final product introduction to prevent rattle and vibrations or other noise reductions at the end stage of the manufacturing processes.”
