Venting and Thermal Protection
Venting and thermal protection mats provide good electrical resistance and mechanical cushioning during normal operations while providing excellent fire and temperature resistance during a thermal event.
In the case of a cell venting, these materials shield adjacent modules, busbars and circuitry from the ejecta by channeling the vented gases away from healthy cells.
In their thinnest configuration, these protection materials have the suitable flexibility to be wrapped around wires, cables and busbars.
