UHMW Polyethylene Film Adhesive Tape
Strong and durable doesn’t begin to scratch the surface of the benefits of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW) film adhesive tape that is abrasion, impact and chemically resistant. A great candidate for outdoor applications, UHMW film is combined with acrylic adhesive which offers excellent aging properties. From constant wear and tear to sudden impact, UHMW tapes can be trusted to perform in a variety of applications such as slide and glide applications, conveyor belt applications as well as in guiding automation with robotics materials handling in warehouses, where protection is key. These products are available with thicker adhesives which can improve the adhesion and grip to textured or rough surfaces.
These products can also be available with UV-cured acrylic adhesive, offering a solvent-free option to help reduce the environmental impact of the tape in demanding applications.
These products are good candidates for low to moderate-temperature range applications as a PTFE alternative. With better abrasion resistance than PTFE and Teflon™, UHMW-PE boasts the highest impact strength for applications that experience constant friction like chute and guide rail coverings.
