How EV Battery Foams Enhance Performance and Safety
Norseal® Foams are flexible cellular materials offering a unique combination of properties:
- Low Density: With air-filled cells, these foams are light in weight maintaining reasonable mechanical durability
- Closed-cell Structure: The isolated cells improve rigidity, providing water sealability
- Low Compression Set (C-set): These foams recover well after compression, retaining shape and elasticity over time
- Toughness: Specially designed to absorb impact energy, making them excellent for cushioning applications
- Thermal Insulation: Air-trapped cells reduce heat transfer
- Flame-retardancy: Select materials formulated for enhanced safety, lower flammability and slower thermal propagation
